Hotel Review: Le Meridien Khao Lak Resort And Spa

TLDR: I would go back to this resort again for a relaxing getaway.

While it is located in one of the more quiet regions of Thailand, most people would probably have heard of Khao Lak back in 2004, when tsunami struck this coast the worst.

15 years later, it still remains a quiet town which has regained its infrastructures and is now home to many resorts and spas along its coast.

Le Meridien was home for me during my trip to Khao Lak and it was only recently opened in Sept 2019.

I booked their entry level room which came with a nice sized bath and sleeping area. It even has a daybed, desk and also a balcony with table and chairs for two. Being a 4 months new hotel when I visited, everything was indeed nice and brand new.

What I really enjoyed most about staying in Le Meridien is that they have SO MANY activities and there is really something for everything. I didn’t really have to step foot out of the resort because they had plenty of dining options, well-equipped facilities and recreational activities organized by the hotel.

Into the woods for bird discovery!

The hotel has really planned out a variety of things for people to take part in while staying with them. From bird discovery, yoga, body firming, muay Thai, aqua fitness, couple’s workout and others for the little ones which I didn’t pay too much attention to.

The front desk will give a handout of the schedule for the week and there is something going on every hour from 7am in the morning till 6pm in the evening.

Swimming pool view from my room. This is just one section of the pool, now image there’s 3 sections of this, you’ll get so confused on the first day.

Also, a sunset picture by the pool.
PS: This place has beautiful sunrise and sunset!

There’s a sports bar here and it has a dart board, mini golf, mahjong room, snooker table, foosball and lots of games.

Here’s Coconut Joe which is a shack by the beach. A pro tip: if you plan properly you can enjoy happy hour from 5pm-11pm. From 5pm-7pm, it’s happy hour at Coconut Joe, 7pm-9pm happy hour at Latitude, 9pm-11pm happy hour at the sports bar. So really you could be drinking for 6 hours with happy hour promo if you plan well!

Sunrise by the beach! It gets pretty packed during sunset but rather empty in the morning!

I’m gonna end this post with: BREAKFAST GOALS!

Le Meridien serves really yummy breakfast and lots of fresh juices, cold press etc which I am all about. I really really really enjoyed all the different juices they serve daily and that’s what I look forward to every morning.

Thanks Le Meridien for the fabulous stay!
