Hidden on the first floor along the streets of Kota Damansara, this casual French dining outlet has a menu that suits the Asian palette.
Typically French dining will not have any pasta choices on the menu and would have a wider selection of pork / meat dishes but in this outlet they do have a pasta section for us Asians who associate Western food with pastas.
Here’s the tiger prawn linguine and homemade spaghetti bolognese. The prawns were fresh and linguine nicely seasoned with garlic, exactly what I like! The spaghetti bolognese on the other hand was quite basic but you could taste and smell the minced beef.
Only problem was the plate that was served in. It wasn’t particularly friendly for peeling the prawns as it is sort of like a top-hat designed plate.
Here’s the barramundi fillet which was yummy! It was nice, tender and flavorful but not overpowering. I don’t believe this is particularly a french cooking method as well but it’s fine.
The chicken schnitzel here is quite good by my standards. The chicken was surprisingly beyond tender and it almost falls apart in your mouth at first bite. Although still nothing French about it.
If I had to rate this place upon 10, I’d probably give it a 7. I still don’t know what is ‘casual French’ about this place but the food is good!
