As the title suggest, I’m a contest queen. There’s something exhilarating about joining a contest and then finding out you have won. It doesn’t have to be anything over the top but it just feels so good that you are the ‘lucky’ one.
I keep my eyes peeled on all sorts of contest available online and usually participate in those which requires minimal effort. It could be anything from uploading a photo, tagging friends, answering questions, commenting why I should be the winner, etc. I would usually draw the line at making sure I don’t need to share a post (especially on Instagram) on my feed or story as it is still a personal account not a side account for joining contest.
In the last 1-2 years, I have won a fair share of contest and I must say, it is something which I do look out for but not necessary participate in all the time. I have won a wide range of things from dining vouchers, skincare & beauty products, consumer good etc. Personal favourites would be dining vouchers which are very useful (for the wallet)!
Here’s what I’ve won in the past:
- Bobby Brown Lipstick & Makeover Voucher
- RM50 Dining Voucher for Kakiyuki
- RM150 Dining Voucher for Chez Gaston
- RM150 Dining Voucher for RA-FT
- Swavroski bracelet
- Chanel eyeshadow
- Loccitane gift box worth RM1,500
- RM50 Dining Voucher for Creme De La Creme
- Box of 10 Delicol puff pastry
- Carrera Sunglasses
- 90 Minute Mary Chia Oxygen Facial
- Rebecca Mink cardholder
And that’s what I can remember so far. Hopefully more to come.
If there’s one tip worth sharing would be to join contest which doesn’t have many participants to increase your chances of winning. And if you can’t see the number of participants who have joined, just go for it and hope for the best but don’t overly think about it! For the most part, it is very much luck based and you can’t do to much about it.
If there’s two more items I really want to win, it would be a flight ticket and hotel stay in any destination in the world. That would be pretty sweet winning a holiday, till then I’m gonna keep trying!
