Winter Wonderland Is A Magical Place

If you know me personally, you would know that I am obsessed with Winter Wonderland in London. It brings out the kid in me who watched one too many American movies growing up. I have watched a fair share of Romance movies where the guy brings her out on a first date at a local amusement park. They play some games, win some toys and all that jazz.

Since then, I’ve always wanted to visit an amusement park of some sort which is similar to what I’ve seen in movies and Winter Wonderland truly ticks all the boxes and more.

The moment I step into Winter Wonderland, I feel all sorts of happy vibes in the air and there’s nothing that could kill my vibe for that evening. The lights, the festive joyous music and happy cheers filled the air as I walked through the entrance.

And I thought to myself, what a time to be alive and experiencing this for the first, second, third, forth, fifth time and more. It never gets old for me, regardless of how many times I’ve been here. It’s like Disneyland, except it caters to everyone of all age group. There is something for everyone in this happy place and that is probably the best part.

I love taking slow aimless strolls in Winter Wonderland, walking pass all the delicious smelling food stalls, games stalls and more.

It gets pretty chilly in here compared to others parts of Central London but that is the beauty of it. The cold makes it more festive and magical at the same time. It is as if I walked right into a fairy tale made for me and I don’t ever want to step foot out of this twinkling place.

I once came here with my boyfriend and had a jolly good time here as he tries to win me a plushy like every other couples around us. Not as easy as it sounds but the fun is in the process of winning the plushy and prize is the cherry on top. We easily spent £50 here playing the games but those memories we had were priceless and will forever be imprinted in my heart.

It felt like a scene right out a movie and I absolutely enjoyed my time here and to finally experience it in person made it even more surreal.

Seek and you shall find, they say. The refuge bar is such a perfect chill-out space as you grab a drink or bite and gather round these benches and enjoy the live music. You could also stay warm and toasty if you pick a seat near the outdoor heater.

Winter Wonderland will always be this magical place which brings back lots of fond memories. Till next time, I can’t wait to be back for more fun amidst the winter gloom.
