Known to be the most beautiful spring garden in the world, Keukenhof is worth a visit when one visits Netherlands.
d during spring. Costing only €16 and easily accessible from Amsterdam, Keukenhof will present to you fresh-smelling air which you will appreciate after spending a couple of days in the stale-smelling city.
The only thing that comes to mind when I see this picture is that, it looks like a page right out from Alice in Wonderland! All that’s missing are the main characters and also the whimsical touch to it. Definitely missing this place so much!
Truth be told, the first 10 minutes spent in Keukenhof has already got me wanting more. I made a mental note to come back to this sanctuary in years to come. Just look at this beautiful sight and now imagine breathing in the smell of fresh flowers in the air and experiencing just the right amount of breeze on your cheeks as you stroll down this path.
Fresh flowers blooming everywhere! I definitely could get used to this sight and smell. To be honest, I was never a flower type of girl. I appreciated flowers on special occasions when it is nicely wrapped up and overpriced, but never when it is in its truest form with soil attached to it. But Keukenhof really changed my mind and it was a magical experience seeing it in its truest and raw form.
Netherlands is closely associated to windmills and is often the first thing that comes to mind when people recall about the country. My first encounter with a windmill left me wanting to visit other famous ones which I did not have time to cover during this trip. Definitely coming back for more of outskirts sightseeing in the future! I still can’t get over how beautiful this picture is, I think it is desktop photo worthy!
I spent the afternoon strolling in this beautiful sanctuary. Inhaling the freshest air and exhaling all the toxic thoughts, very calming and exhilarating. I appreciate taking slow strolls in this beautiful garden with my fellow girlfriends, almost a perfect day out (we wished for there to be more sunshine!). Also, it was super awesome that it wasn’t the peak period yet, we really had a good getaway from the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam.
So, so beautiful. Although sadly the flowers hasn’t fully bloomed, it was still a beautiful sight. It was still as beautiful if not, more precious than a fully bloomed one! Kinda like how a child looks like the most precious thing at their toddler stage.

Worth every Euro spent and time travelling to this piece of heaven on earth. If given a chance, I would return to Keukenhof again and make sure to go when the flowers have bloomed slightly more. For individuals out there who are not a fan of flowers and scenery, this place might change your perception!
PS: Get there earlier in the morning or book the tickets online to avoid disappointments.
